5 of my favourite quotes

Quotes are often referred to as poetry and most of the time poetry are merely feelings written down. This is probably why we can sometimes relate to quotes because it makes us feel a certain way.

I love quotes. I screenshot them, pin it to my Pinterest board, put it on my status when I feel a certain way. And sometimes it’s just the right words that lift me out of a slump!

Here are 5 of my favourite quotes. Hopefully it will inspire you too!

Choose happy!

All of us wants to be happy and happiness is a choice made by no-one else but us. We choose what to wear, what careers we want, what we want to have for supper and if it’s not what we really want, we end up being unhappy. Choosing happiness sometimes means saying no to a friend who wants you to go to the mall with her when you would rather stay in your bed to finish the book you’ve been reading. Or buying that slab of chocolate without worrying how many calories it is.

Stay close to people who feel like sunshine

When I was younger my life revolved around friends. It was as though I didn’t exist without them. Whether I had to listen to my one friend gush about her boyfriend the entire day or staying up all night when I knew I have work the next day. As I got older many new friendships were built but there’s always those friends who makes you feel like you can do anything or those whose conversations leaves you feeling refreshed.

A grateful heart is a magnet for miracles

I believe this with my entire heart! Learning to be grateful for everything makes the challenges and hardships and negativity seem like nothing at all.

When life gets blurry, adjust your focus

This was something I needed to learn. At the beginning of the year “FOCUS” was the word I choose for myself. I realized that I often loose focus and get really frustrated. Adjusting my focus means that I sometimes have to take a break from what I am busy with or try a different approach to get a better result.

Your only limit is your mind

Negativity, judgement from others and low self-esteem fills our minds on a daily basis. How you view yourself can impact the way you approach things that can possibly change your future like a better job or buying yourself a new outfit. You have full control of what your future can look like.
