Mattel games : Skip-Bo card game review

With me still working from home and having the kids home with me most of the week, it is basically my responsibility to keep them busy during the day. You can imagine my excitement when the Skip Bo card game landed on my doorstep the other day. Mattel games
Since my kids have cell phones and tablets at their disposal, it can be quite easy to have them just bury their faces in their devices while I get work done without any distractions. It is easy but I try super hard to not give into that very convenient temptation. And with the lock down lasting so long…March – October so far, we’ve kinda run out of games to play. I mean, we can only play so much Monopoly, Uno and Speak Out, so something different is very welcome.

Skip-Bo is so right up our alley since Jody loves UNO and is always challenging everybody to play with him. Besides, he’s so good at it too! Skip-Bo is very similar to UNO which means he can play it too. Skip-Bo is the ultimate sequencing card game from the makers of UNO! Players use skill and strategy to create stacks of sequentially numbered, ascending cards (2,3,4…) until they have no more left to play. Once everyone is dealt their own personal stockpile of cards, play begins by drawing from a central pile and building up to four “build” piles. The Skip-Bo “wild” cards break up static situations and may be played as any number. Use these cards wisely, for they can really help you beat your opponents! The first player to deplete all of his or her Skip-Bo stockpile cards is the winner! Includes 162 cards and instructions. Colours and decorations may vary.

Playing this is so much fun and is currently our favourite card game! Its amazingly easy to play and great for the whole family…if they can count of course. The Skip-Bo card game can be found at Takealot as well as The Kids Zone for purchase and since Christmas is fast approaching, this can be a good item to use as a stocking filler.

Let me know if you’ve played it before.

Till later!
