Review: Fujifilm Instax Mini 11

I’m sure you’ve all heard of the Fujifilm Instax instant photo camera ranges. A couple of weeks ago we were given the opportunity to test and review the Fujifilm Instax Mini 11 and boy, did we have a great time!

The Instax Mini 11 actually came at the perfect time…my daughter’s 16th birthday, so we were able to capture some awesome memories.

I must say that this handy device is very compact and oh so cute. We got it in ice white but it comes is the prettiest pastel colours, blush pink, sky blue, lilac purple and charcoal grey. The high-performance flash automatically
calculates surrounding brightness and adjusts shutter speed accordingly, you won’t have to make any adjustments. It captures bright backgrounds and bright subjects even in dark settings like at night or when the weather is a bit meh.

For selfies…you simply pull out the lens, pul out the rim and when you see “selfie mark”, the device is ready to capture your selfie. You can check the framing with the mirror next to the lens.

The Instax Mini 11 comes with 2 accessories, a strap and a jewel shutter button which can be used or not. The strap is very handy especially of you’re a bit on the clumsy side.

I haven’t used any of the the previous instax cameras so I’m unable give you a clear opinion of what the difference is but from all the reviews I’ve read online, it sounds like the Instax mini 11 camera is quite better.

It currently retails for R1200 give or take depending on how many packs of film is included in the deal.

My kids would never know how it feels to take loads of pictures and then waiting a week or 2 for it to be developed at Clicks. And the you get your envelope with all the pics you’ve taken and half of it was black and the rest blurry, lol. But now, thanks you Instax, they can make the same type of memories in an instant.

Let me know if you’ve have ever used one of these instant cameras.

Till later!
