Natural Hair

Halfway pineapple

The “PINEAPPLE” is very popular amongst naturals with the longer hair. My hair ain’t that long but I don’t let it put me down and neither should you! Many use the pineapple technique to serve as protection at night to keep their curls intact, using a scarf to tie the hair “up”. Here’s a quick and easy way for you to achieve the pineapple hairstyle.

All you need is:

  1. an elastic band
  2. A few bobby pins
  3. brush
  4. Holding product like a gel or cream

Method

If your hair is dry, dampen it by spraying water or water mixture containing your favourite leave-in and or oil.

Section your hair in TWO sections, back and front. What I normally do is create a “square” in the front of your head. You can achieve this by making a path from ear to ear and then grab the sections on the side and add it to the back part. Tie the front section in the meantime.

Tie the back part with an elastic band, apply your holding product and smooth out your hair using a brush, giving it a sleek look.

Use bobby pins to help keep those naughty curls put.

Now, loosen the front section and start scrunching until that curls are poppin’.

Tips:

This style is perfect for 3rd/4th day wash n go hair. Just add a curl cream to the front section to create definition.

To set the style, wrap a silk scarf around your head to smooth it out further.

This method can also be done at night when you go to bed and want to keep your hairstyle in tact.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this post.

Till later.
