Women’s Day 2018

Last year, on women’s day, a friend and I hosted a spa day for all the ladies at our church. You can read all about it here. This year we decided to do something different by asking everyone to invite one person, booking a hall, decor, get a speaker and having a good time with delicious food, fun and laughter.

I thought that it would be great if each of the ladies received some sort of gift to take home on the day and I then took it upon myself to try and contact some brands and companies to ask if they could assist by sending me samples to help fill up the bags.

In the first few months it felt like we were running with our heads against a brick wall because every email we sent came back with a big fat NO. Then in the week before the event, everything just came together and we were set to go!

Our theme was ARISE WOMEN OF WORTH and we we encouraged to rise above our circumstances because we are worthy of much more than what we think we are. Our speaker also touched on how we should step out of our comfort zones and into our ultimate purpose so that we can thrive in all areas of our lives.
